Usage

General Description

TRIS(TRIMETHYLSILOXY)CHLOROSILANE is a chemical compound with the formula (CH3)3SiO[Si(CH3)2O]3Si(CH3)3Cl. It is a colorless liquid that is used as a coupling and crosslinking agent in the synthesis of silicone polymers. It has a variety of industrial applications, including as a surface modifier for glass, ceramic, and metal substrates, as well as a precursor for the production of silicone rubber, adhesives, and sealants. TRIS(TRIMETHYLSILOXY)CHLOROSILANE is highly reactive and must be handled with caution, as it can undergo hydrolysis in the presence of moisture to generate hydrochloric acid and release flammable and toxic fumes.
