Platinum(II) complexes with N1-(2′-tetrahydrofuranyl)-5-fluorouracil and some amines

The reaction of cis-[PtA2X2] (A = isopropylamine, cyclopentylamine, cyclohexylamine, ethylene-diamine, or o-phenylenediamine) with N1-(2′-tetrahydrofuranyl)-5-fluorouracil (HL) in the presence of silver(I) oxide (molar ratio of reagents 1:2:1) yields complexes cis-[PtA2L2]. The compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, molar electrical conductance, IR, and electronic spectroscopy. The suggestion is made about the character of ligand coordination and relative stability of the complexes.
