1914-99-4 Usage

Description

Chlorophosphonazo III is a highly sensitive reagent known for its spectrophotometric determination capabilities of various elements such as zirconium, titanium, thorium, and scandium. It is characterized by two long wavelength maxima, one at 620 nm and one at 680 nm, which contribute to its effectiveness in analytical applications.

Uses

Used in Analytical Chemistry:
Chlorophosphonazo III is used as a chromogenic agent for the spectrophotometric determination of elements like zirconium, titanium, thorium, and scandium. Its high sensitivity and distinct wavelength maxima make it a valuable tool in this field.
Used in Optical Sensors:
In conjunction with PVC, Chlorophosphonazo III is utilized as a chromogenic agent during the determination of calcium via a disposable optical sensor. This application highlights its versatility in different analytical techniques.
Used in Extractant Solutions:
Chlorophosphonazo III also finds application as an extractant, particularly when used with 1-butanol as a solvent. It is effective for determining micromolar concentrations of Nd(III), Th(IV), and U(VI) in brine, showcasing its utility in the extraction and analysis of specific elements.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1914-99-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,9,1 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1914-99:
(6*1)+(5*9)+(4*1)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*9)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 1914-99-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Method for preparing chlorophosphonazo III

-

Paragraph 0022; 0023; 0024; 0025; 0026; 0027; 0028-0045, (2017/06/02)

The invention relates to a method for preparing chlorophosphonazo III, and steps are as follows: (1) preparation, to be more specific, aminochIorobenzene phosphoric acid, dilute hydrochloric acid, a sodium nitrite solution and chromotropic acid disodium salt are reacted to obtain crude chlorophosphonazo III; (2) acidification, to be more specific, a solid in a reaction solution of the step (1) is filtered out; the solid is warmly dissolved in a certain amount of dilute hydrochloric acid, and placed overnight for precipitation of a solid; and (3) drying. The method can reduce the production cost and improve the enterprise market competition ability during production without further using special equipment which is very expensive, and the product can be applied more in the market.
