Description

ALX 0600, also known as Teduglutide, is a glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) analogue used for the treatment of short bowel syndrome (SBS) in adults who are dependent on parenteral nutrition (PN). It is a 33-membered polypeptide with a unique structure that confers resistance to degradation by DPP-4, allowing for similar binding affinity, agonist potency, and agonist efficacy as GLP-2 in assays with the rat GLP-2 receptor.
