Manufacturing Process
A mixture of 1.759 g of 2α,3α-epithio-5α-androstan-17β-ol, 2.3 ml of 1- methoxycyclopentene, 20 mg of pyridine salt of p-toluenesulfonic acid and 20 ml of t-butanol is stirred for 4 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture is poured into an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate and the whole
extracted with dichloromethane. The extract is dried over anhydrous sodium
sulfate and evaporated to remove solvent. Purification of the residue by
chromatography over alumina gives 1.487 g of 17β-(1-methoxycyclopentyl)
oxy-2α,3α-epithio-5α-androstane. Yield 68.2%. MP 98°C to 101°C.
Therapeutic Function
Antiestrogen
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 21362-69-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,1,3,6 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 21362-69:
(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*9)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 21362-69-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
