Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 24332-66-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,4,3,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 24332-66:
(7*2)+(6*4)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*6)=89
89 % 10 = 9
So 24332-66-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Oxidative NHC-Catalysis as Organocatalytic Platform for the Synthesis of Polyester Oligomers by Step-Growth Polymerization

Ragno, Daniele,Di Carmine, Graziano,Brandolese, Arianna,Bortolini, Olga,Giovannini, Pier Paolo,Fantin, Giancarlo,Bertoldo, Monica,Massi, Alessandro

supporting information, p. 14701 - 14710 (2019/11/13)

The application of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalysis to the polycondensation of diols and dialdehydes under oxidative conditions is herein presented for the synthesis of polyesters using fossil-based (ethylene glycol, phthalaldehydes) and bio-based (

Visible-Light Photocatalysis Employing Dye-Sensitized Semiconductor: Selective Aerobic Oxidation of Benzyl Ethers

Ren, Li,Yang, Ming-Meng,Tung, Chen-Ho,Wu, Li-Zhu,Cong, Huan

, p. 8134 - 8138 (2017/12/08)

The aerobic oxidation is an attractive approach toward environmentally benign synthesis of fine chemicals. In addition, dye-sensitized semiconductors are underdeveloped photocatalysts for selective organic synthesis. With the aid of catalytic eosin Y-sensitized titanium dioxide, we have developed efficient aerobic photooxidation of benzyl ethers to benzoates, featuring low cost, high atom economy, broad substrate scope, and user-friendly setup. Furthermore, preliminary mechanistic studies established that the reaction pathway likely entails a photoinduced, radical-based two-step process via an isolable peroxide intermediate.

Selective Esterification of 1,4:3,6-Dianhydro-D-glucitol

Cekovic, Zivorad,Tokic, Zorana

, p. 610 - 612 (2007/10/02)

Esterification of 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-D-glucitol (1) with carboxylic acids in the presence of 4-dimethylaminopyridine and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide affords 2-exo-acylates 3 with high regioselectivity, in addition to small amounts of the isomeric 5-endo-acylates 4 and 2,5-diacylates 5.
