Description
MANNIDE MONOOLEATE is a clear yellow to brown liquid that serves as an emulsifying agent. It is known for its ability to keep oil and water molecules together, thus maintaining the integrity of a product without affecting the skin.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
MANNIDE MONOOLEATE is used as an emulsifying agent for maintaining the stability of formulations by keeping oil and water molecules together.
Used in Immunology Research:
MANNIDE MONOOLEATE is used as an emulsifying agent in Freund's incomplete adjuvant, which is essential for enhancing the immune response in laboratory animals during vaccine development and other immunological studies.
Used in Cosmetics and Personal Care Industry:
MANNIDE MONOOLEATE is used as an emulsifying agent for creating stable emulsions in various cosmetic and personal care products, ensuring a consistent texture and improving the product's performance on the skin.
Air & Water Reactions
Autooxidizes on storage in the presence of light and air, with the formation of free acidity and labile peroxides. Readily hydrolyzed in the presence of ultraviolet light and air and when refluxed with sodium hydroxide. Also readily hydrolyzed by pancreatic lipase. . Water soluble.
Reactivity Profile
An alcohol and ester. Flammable and/or toxic gases are generated by the combination of alcohols with alkali metals, nitrides, and strong reducing agents. They react with oxoacids and carboxylic acids to form esters plus water. Oxidizing agents convert them to aldehydes or ketones. Alcohols exhibit both weak acid and weak base behavior. They may initiate the polymerization of isocyanates and epoxides. Esters react with acids to liberate heat along with alcohols and acids. Strong oxidizing acids may cause a vigorous reaction that is sufficiently exothermic to ignite the reaction products. Heat is also generated by the interaction of esters with caustic solutions. Flammable hydrogen is generated by mixing esters with alkali metals and hydrides.
Fire Hazard
MANNIDE MONOOLEATE is probably combustible.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 25339-93-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,5,3,3 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 25339-93:
(7*2)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*9)+(2*9)+(1*3)=119
119 % 10 = 9
So 25339-93-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
