Usage

General Description

Propanamide, 2-amino-3-hydroxy- is a chemical compound with the formula C3H9NO2. It is also known as beta-alanine or 3-aminopropanoic acid. Propanamide,2-amino-3-hydroxy- is a non-essential amino acid, meaning that it can be synthesized by the human body. It is a component of the dipeptide carnosine, which has antioxidant properties and is found in high concentrations in muscle tissue. Beta-alanine supplementation has been shown to increase muscle carnosine levels, which may improve exercise performance and delay muscle fatigue. Additionally, it may have potential therapeutic applications in conditions such as diabetes and Parkinson's disease.
