2-Methoxy-3-methylbenzoic acid, also known as guaiacol-3-carboxylic acid, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C9H10O3. It is a derivative of benzoic acid, with a methoxy group and a methyl group attached to the benzene ring. 2-Methoxy-3-methylbenzoic acid is commonly used as a flavoring agent in the food industry and as a fragrance ingredient in the cosmetics and personal care products industry.
