27491-84-5 Usage

General Description

Triethyl hydrogen silicate is a colorless to pale yellow liquid chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H16O3Si. It is commonly used in the production of silicone polymers through hydrosilylation reactions. Triethyl hydrogen silicate is highly reactive due to the presence of the hydrogen attached to the silicon atom, which makes it a useful crosslinking agent in the synthesis of silicone materials. It is also utilized as a catalyst in various organic reactions, such as the production of polyesters and in the formation of silicone resins. Additionally, triethyl hydrogen silicate is known for its strong odor and should be handled with caution due to its flammability and potential irritant properties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 27491-84-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,7,4,9 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 27491-84:
(7*2)+(6*7)+(5*4)+(4*9)+(3*1)+(2*8)+(1*4)=135
135 % 10 = 5
So 27491-84-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILANOLS AND NOVEL SILANOLS

-

Paragraph 0053-0054; 0061-0063, (2021/08/13)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing silanols useful as functional chemicals, and to provide novel silanols. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing silanols including a reaction step of reacting alkoxysilanes having Si-OR bonds (R represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms) with water or heavy water in the presence of a catalyst, wherein a method for producing silanols having an Si-OR' bond (R' represents a hydrogen atom or a deuterium atom) is characterized in that the catalyst is an inorganic solid acid catalyst having a regular pore structure. There is also provided novel silanols obtained thereby. SELECTED DRAWING: None COPYRIGHT: (C)2021,JPOandINPIT
