28407-37-6 Usage
Preparation
3,3′-Dimethoxylbenzidine double nitriding, in alkaline conditions and 4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid(2 Moore) coupling, and then will product into copper complex.
General Description
Deep purple to dark blue amorphous powder.
Air & Water Reactions
Water soluble. Azo dyes can be explosive when suspended in air at specific concentrations.
Reactivity Profile
tetrasodium [mu-[[3,3'-[(3,3'-dihydroxy[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diyl)bis(azo)]bis[5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulphonato]](8-)]]dicuprate(4-) is a diazo compound. Azo, diazo, azido compounds can detonate. The nitro groups would facilitate rapid decomposition. This applies in particular to organic azides that have been sensitized by the addition of metal salts or strong acids. Toxic gases are formed by mixing materials of this class with acids, aldehydes, amides, carbamates, cyanides, inorganic fluorides, halogenated organics, isocyanates, ketones, metals, nitrides, peroxides, phenols, epoxides, acyl halides, and strong oxidizing or reducing agents. Flammable gases are formed by mixing materials in this group with alkali metals. Explosive combination can occur with strong oxidizing agents, metal salts, peroxides, and sulfides.
Fire Hazard
Flash point data for tetrasodium [mu-[[3,3'-[(3,3'-dihydroxy[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diyl)bis(azo)]bis[5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulphonato]](8-)]]dicuprate(4-) are not available, however, tetrasodium [mu-[[3,3'-[(3,3'-dihydroxy[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diyl)bis(azo)]bis[5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulphonato]](8-)]]dicuprate(4-) is probably combustible.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 28407-37-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,8,4,0 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 28407-37:
(7*2)+(6*8)+(5*4)+(4*0)+(3*7)+(2*3)+(1*7)=116
116 % 10 = 6
So 28407-37-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
