287-33-2 Usage
General Description
1,2-Oxazetidine is a four-membered ring heterocyclic compound with the chemical formula C3H5NO. It is a highly reactive molecule due to the strain in its ring structure, and it is often used as a versatile building block in organic synthesis. 1,2-Oxazetidine has been used in the preparation of various biologically active compounds and pharmaceuticals. It has also been studied for its potential use in materials science and polymer chemistry due to its unique ring structure and reactivity. Despite its promising properties, 1,2-Oxazetidine is relatively unstable and requires careful handling and storage due to its highly reactive nature.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 287-33-2 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 2,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 287-33:
(5*2)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*3)+(1*3)=72
72 % 10 = 2
So 287-33-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Process for preparing fluorinated compounds
-
, (2008/06/13)
A process for preparing fluorinated compounds belonging to the classes: wherein: X is NRx, O, S, CFRx, C(Rx)2, or CF2 ; Y is NRx, O, S, CFRx, C(Rx)2, or CF2 ; X is different from Y; Rx is a perhalogenated alkyl group, containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; n is either 0 or 1; Z1 and Z2, which may be either equal to, or different from, each other, represent F, Cl, Br, H or Rx. The process is characterized in that a fluorinated cyclic compound of the formula: STR1 is reacted, at a temperature within the range of from -80° to +300°, with HF in the presence of a Lewis acid. Some of the so-obtained compounds per se are novel.
