293-42-5 Usage

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 293-42-5 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 2,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 293-42:
(5*2)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*4)+(1*2)=65
65 % 10 = 5
So 293-42-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

INORGANIC HETEROCYCLE COMPOUNDS AND CHARGE TRANSFER COMPLEXES

Garcia-Fernandez, H.

, p. 3 - 20 (2007/10/02)

By reduction of sulfur nitride, S4N4, with hydrazine, N2H4, we have prepared all the seven eight-membered ring sufurimines in the crystallized form. However, besides sufurimine crystals, one notes the presence of elongated hexagonal crystals, which are very different in size and morphology.A study of these isolated crystals by: I.Chemical analysis.II.Infrared spectrography and U.V. spectrography.III.Radiocrystallography, shows that they are molecular charge-transfer complexes (C.T.C.), Hydrogen bond type: -> D.+ -> A.- Donor.Acceptor.A few examples are given in Figure 11, in which are reported the chemical, crystallographical and spectroscopic results for solid octahedral sulfur derivatives.

The reactions of atomic nitrogen with S2Cl2 and other sulfur compounds

Smith, Jerry J.,Jolly, William L.

, p. 1006 - 1010 (2008/10/08)

Atomic nitrogen reacts as an electrophilic reagent toward sulfur compounds. Divalent sulfur compounds (H2S, CS2, OCS, S8, S2Cl2, SCl2) yield sulfur-nitrogen compounds. Sulfur compounds containing sulfur atoms with a positive formal charge (SO2, SOCl2) yield no sulfur-nitrogen compounds. The rate law for the reaction of atomic nitrogen with S2Cl2 to form NSCl is similar to that for the S2Cl2-catalyzed nitrogen recombination reaction. Mechanisms are proposed for the latter reactions, assuming that both reactions are first order in S2Cl2.
