Health Hazard

TOXIC; inhalation, ingestion or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may be corrosive and/or toxic and cause pollution.

Fire Hazard

Non-combustible, substance itself does not burn but may decompose upon heating to produce corrosive and/or toxic fumes. Some are oxidizers and may ignite combustibles (wood, paper, oil, clothing, etc.). Contact with metals may evolve flammable hydrogen gas. Containers may explode when heated.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3064-70-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,0,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3064-70:
(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*7)+(1*0)=68
68 % 10 = 8
So 3064-70-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Preparation of novel bactericide bissulfone

-

Paragraph 0015, (2016/11/17)

The invention aims at providing a preparation method of novel bactericide bissulfone. The novel bactericide bissulfone is prepared from dimethyl sulfone through chlorination of a chlorinating agent, and in the process, a pH modifier is used for controlling the pH value of a reaction system. The mass ratio of the chlorinating agent to dimethyl sulfone to the pH modifier is (40-80):(10-20):(1-10). Bissulfone can effectively control growth of algae and breeding of bacteria and fungi, can be used for industrial production of a cooling water system, a wastewater treatment system, a pulp and whitewater system, an oil extraction system and the like, and has the advantages of being wide in spectrum, efficient and low in toxicity. Normal pressure operation is adopted in the preparation process, no catalyst is needed, the raw materials are easy to obtain, the price is low, the yield of resultants of a synthesis method is high, and the synthesis process is simple.
