Description
Talmapimod is an indolecarboxamide that acts as a potent inhibitor of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). It is obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group of 6-chloro-3-[(dimethylamino)(oxo)acetyl]-1-methylindole-5-carboxylic acid with the secondary amino group of (2S,5R)-1-[(4-fluorophenyl)methyl]-2,5-dimethylpiperazine. Talmapimod exhibits anti-cancer properties and has been shown to reduce human myeloma cell growth in vivo.
Uses
Used in Cancer Therapy:
Talmapimod is used as an anti-cancer agent for reducing human myeloma cell growth in vivo during both early and advanced phases of the disease in mouse xenograft models.
Used in Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatment:
Talmapimod is used as an inhibitor of tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1β, and cyclooxygenase-2 synthesis in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA), helping to manage the symptoms and progression of the disease.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 309913-83-5 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,0,9,9,1 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 309913-83:
(8*3)+(7*0)+(6*9)+(5*9)+(4*1)+(3*3)+(2*8)+(1*3)=155
155 % 10 = 5
So 309913-83-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
