General Description

5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulphonic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C10H9NO4S. It is a derivative of naphthalene and contains an amino group and a sulphonic acid group. 5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulphonic acid is commonly used in the production of dyes and pigments due to its ability to produce bright and vivid colors. It is also used as a pH indicator in chemical laboratories and as a fluorescent dye in biological studies. Additionally, 5-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulphonic acid is used in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and as an intermediate for organic synthesis.
