354812-17-2 Usage
Description
[2,3'-Bithiophene]-5-carboxamide, 4-amino-, also known as SC-514, is a cell-permeable (thienothienyl)amino-acetamide compound with anti-inflammatory properties. It is a potent, reversible, ATP-competitive, and highly selective inhibitor of IKK-2, with an IC50 of ~3-12 μM for IKK-2 homodimer, IKK-1/IKK-2 heterodimer, and IKK-2. Its specificity has been confirmed using a panel of 31 other kinases, including IKK isoforms IKK-1, IKK-i, and TBK-1 (IC50 > 200 μM). SC-514 displays dose-dependent inhibition of the transcription of NF-κB dependent genes in cell culture.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
[2,3'-Bithiophene]-5-carboxamide, 4-aminois used as an anti-inflammatory agent for its ability to specifically block NF-kB-dependent gene expression, without affecting MAP kinase pathways. This makes it a potential candidate for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
Used in Research Applications:
In research settings, [2,3'-Bithiophene]-5-carboxamide, 4-aminois used as a tool compound to study the role of IKK-2 in various cellular processes and signaling pathways. Its high selectivity and potency make it a valuable asset for investigating the underlying mechanisms of inflammation and other related conditions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 354812-17-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,5,4,8,1 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 354812-17:
(8*3)+(7*5)+(6*4)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*2)+(2*1)+(1*7)=142
142 % 10 = 2
So 354812-17-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
