41272-40-6 Usage
Description
Solvent Green 1 is a brilliant blue light green dye that is soluble in water, resulting in a cyan color, and in ethanol, resulting in a blue-green color. It undergoes color changes when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, turning yellow, and then dark orange upon dilution. When mixed with a dye aqueous solution and sodium hydroxide, it forms a Copenhagen green precipitate.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Solvent Green 1 is used as a dye for coloring textiles due to its ability to produce vibrant blue-green shades when dissolved in water and ethanol.
Used in Plastics Industry:
Solvent Green 1 is used as a colorant for the plastics industry, where it imparts a brilliant blue-green color to various plastic materials.
Used in Paints and Coatings Industry:
Solvent Green 1 is used as a pigment in the production of paints and coatings, providing a distinctive blue-green hue to these products.
Used in Inks Industry:
Solvent Green 1 is used as a color additive in the ink industry, enhancing the visual appeal and vibrancy of printed materials.
Standard:
Solvent Green 1 has a stable melting point and is classified under the ISO standard. However, it has poor light fastness and heat resistance, with a maximum temperature limit of 60°C when used with sodium carbonate (5%) and hydrochloric acid (5%).
Preparation
(a) in the presence of sulfuric acid hydrochloric acid and Benzaldehyde (1 Moore) N,N-dimethylaniline (2 Moore) condensation, then use Lead dioxide and acid oxidation its product, and then made free base; (b) N,N-dimethylaniline and 1-(Trichloromethyl)benzene heating, and then made free base.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 41272-40-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,1,2,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 41272-40:
(7*4)+(6*1)+(5*2)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*4)+(1*0)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 41272-40-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
