4519-10-2 Usage
Description
Silane, trichloro[(1-methoxyethenyl)oxy]-, also known as Methyl Trichlorosilyl Ketene Acetal, is a chemical compound that serves as a versatile reagent in the field of organic chemistry. It is characterized by its physical properties, including a boiling point of 25°C at 5 mmHg pressure and a density of 1.3144 g dm3 at 20°C.
Uses
Used in Chemical Synthesis:
Silane, trichloro[(1-methoxyethenyl)oxy]is used as a reagent for enantioselective acetate aldol additions to aldehydes and ketones. This application is particularly valuable in the synthesis of complex organic molecules, as it allows for the formation of new carbon-carbon bonds with high selectivity and yield.
Under catalysis by Lewis bases, a variety of aldehydes and ketones react smoothly with Silane, trichloro[(1-methoxyethenyl)oxy]at room temperature to afford the aldol addition products in high yields. This makes it a useful tool in the development of new pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other specialty chemicals.
Preparation
One
route is through bis(tributyltin) oxide-catalyzed transmetalation
of methyl tributylstannyl acetate (2) with silicon tetrachloride
(eq 1).3 When the reaction is complete, excess silicon
tetrachloride is removed and the product is purified by
fractional distillation under reduced pressure.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 4519-10-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 4,5,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 4519-10:
(6*4)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*1)+(1*0)=82
82 % 10 = 2
So 4519-10-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
