5141-20-8 Usage
Description
LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH is an organic sodium salt with the counterion 3-[(ethyl4-[(4-ethyl[(3-sulfonatophenyl)methyl]aminophenyl)(4-sulfonatophenyl)methylidene]cyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylideneazaniumyl)methyl]benzene-1-sulfonate. It is a deep purple powder, crystals, or crystalline powder that is used as a standard dye for staining collagen and is also extensively used in plant histology.
Uses
Used in Dye Industry:
LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH is used as a dye for its ability to dissolve easily in water, producing a blue light green color. It is very difficult to dissolve in alcohol and changes color when exposed to strong sulfuric acid.
Used in Biological Stains:
LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH is used as a biological stain for staining collagen and is extensively used in plant histology.
Used in Water Pollution Detection:
As an acid dye and a water pollutant, LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH is used as an indicator in the detection of trace cerium, dyes, and metabolites. Oxidation of LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH results in color loss, making it an excellent indicator for this purpose.
Standard:
LIGHT GREEN SF YELLOWISH has various standards for different applications, including light fastness, soaping, perspiration fastness, oxygen bleaching, and fastness to seawater. The ISO and AATCC ratings for these applications range from 1 to 3, indicating the level of performance and resistance to fading and staining.
Preparation
Benzaldehyde (1 Moore) and N-benzyl-N-ethylbenzenamine (2 Moore) condensation, and then three stlfonation, and will product oxidation and will last them into sodium salt.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5141-20-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,1,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5141-20:
(6*5)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*2)+(1*0)=58
58 % 10 = 8
So 5141-20-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
