General Description
VINYLTRI-T-BUTOXYSILANE is a chemical compound used in various industrial applications, particularly in the manufacturing of silicone-based products. It is a vinyl-functional silane that reacts quickly with moisture in the air to form a strong bond with surfaces such as glass, metal, and various plastics. This makes it a valuable ingredient in adhesives, sealants, and coating formulations, providing excellent adhesion and durability. Its silane functionality also allows it to act as a coupling agent, improving the compatibility and performance of composite materials. Additionally, VINYLTRI-T-BUTOXYSILANE is used as a water repellent, making it a versatile chemical in the construction and automotive industries, as well as in the production of specialty plastics.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5356-88-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,3,5 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5356-88:
(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*6)+(2*8)+(1*8)=107
107 % 10 = 7
So 5356-88-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

We report herein the study of the selective mono-functionalization of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDSO) with vinyl-substituted silicon derivatives through the hydrosilylation reaction. An investigation of the use of platinum- and rhodium-based catalysts in the reactions between TMDSO and exemplary vinyl-containing silicon derivatives has enabled us to identify the most efficient catalyst, the application of which led to the selective partial functionalization of the disiloxane reagent and the simultaneous formation of only β regioisomers.
