Description
Acid Black 52 is a black, dark brown powder that is soluble in water, ethanol, and soluble fiber element. It is slightly soluble in acetone and insoluble in other organic solvents. When it comes into contact with strong sulfuric acid, it turns dark and forms black precipitation when diluted. It reacts with nitric acid to form a yellow-brown solution, and in a rare dark-purple sodium hydroxide solution.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Acid Black 52 is used as a dye for wool, polyamide, and silk dyeing and printing. It is known for its light fastness, soaping fastness, perspiration fastness, oxygen bleaching fastness, and fastness to seawater. The ISO and AATCC ratings for these properties range from 4 to 7, indicating its effectiveness and durability in the textile industry.
Used in Leather Industry:
Acid Black 52 is also used in the leather industry for dyeing and shading. Its chemical properties make it suitable for use in this application, providing a consistent and long-lasting color.
Used in Electrochemical Industry:
In the electrochemical industry, Acid Black 52 is used for dyeing aluminum, providing a protective and aesthetically pleasing finish to the metal. Its chemical properties make it suitable for use in this application, ensuring a durable and long-lasting color.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5610-64-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,6,1 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5610-64:
(6*5)+(5*6)+(4*1)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*4)=80
80 % 10 = 0
So 5610-64-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
