General Description

(TYR0)-C-peptide (human) is a synthetic peptide that is derived from the C-peptide of human insulin. It is a 31-amino acid peptide with the same sequence as the native human C-peptide but with a tyrosine residue added at the N-terminus. C-peptide is a byproduct of insulin production and is released in equimolar amounts with insulin from pancreatic beta cells. It has been shown to have various physiological effects, including improving microvascular blood flow and renal function in diabetic patients. (TYR0)-C-peptide (human) is being studied for its potential therapeutic applications in the treatment of diabetes and its complications, as well as for its role in modulating insulin action and metabolism.
