609771-63-3 Usage
Description
(6,6)-PHENYL C71 BUTYRIC ACID METHYL ESTER, 99% (MIXTURE OF ISOMERS), also known as PC70BM, is a high fullerene analog to [60]PCBM, which has an enhanced absorption of light in the visible region. It is a fullerene electron acceptor commonly used in the most efficient organic photovoltaic devices. The non-symmetrical C70 cage of PC70BM enables energetic transitions that are forbidden in C60, improving the absorption characteristics over PC60BM for the visible range of the solar spectrum. This allows increased photon harvesting, and a potentially higher photocurrent for devices using PC70BM rather than PC60BM. The 99% purity PC70BM is recommended where ultimate performance is required.
Uses
Used in Organic Photovoltaic Devices:
PC70BM is used as an electron acceptor in the most efficient organic photovoltaic devices for its improved absorption characteristics over PC60BM in the visible range of the solar spectrum. This results in increased photon harvesting and potentially higher photocurrent.
Used in Perovskite Solar Cells:
PC70BM is used as an electron transport layer in perovskite solar cells, taking advantage of its energy levels and good electron mobility. In laboratories, a power conversion efficiency (PCE) approaching 12% has been achieved using PC70BM in CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite solar cells.
Used in Polymeric Solar Cells:
PC70BM can be blended with a variety of electron donors, such as P3HT and MDMO-PPV, for the fabrication of polymeric solar cells with high power conversion efficiency (PCE).
Used in Organic Field Effect Transistor (OFET) Applications:
PC70BM can also be used in the organic field effect transistor (OFET) based applications, leveraging its properties as a high fullerene analog.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 609771-63-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 6,0,9,7,7 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 609771-63:
(8*6)+(7*0)+(6*9)+(5*7)+(4*7)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*3)=183
183 % 10 = 3
So 609771-63-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
