6299-28-1 Usage
General Description
2,6-bis(methylsulfanyl)pyrimidin-4-amine, also known as Minoxidil, is a medication primarily used for the treatment of high blood pressure and male pattern baldness. As a vasodilator, it works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. In the treatment of hair loss, Minoxidil is applied topically to the scalp to stimulate hair growth and prevent further hair loss. The chemical compound is a derivative of pyrimidine and contains two methylsulfanyl (CH3-S-) groups attached to the 2,6 positions of the pyrimidine ring, as well as an amine (-NH2) group at the 4 position. It is typically available as a solution or foam for topical application and has been shown to be effective in promoting hair regrowth in individuals with male pattern baldness.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6299-28-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,2,9 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6299-28:
(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*9)+(3*9)+(2*2)+(1*8)=121
121 % 10 = 1
So 6299-28-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Substituted pyrimidines are an important class of kinase inhibitors. We therefore developed a synthetic route suitable for the solid-phase synthesis of 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidines through displacement reactions on deactivated pyrimidines. Functionalising th
