Description
EOSIN METHYLENE-BLUE is a histological staining agent used for the examination of blood cells. It is characterized by its brilliant blue light red color, solubility in hot water to produce a cherry red solution, and solubility in ethanol aqueous solution to yield a red solution with brown light yellow fluorescence. In concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns yellow and upon dilution, it forms a brown light yellow precipitate. When its dye aqueous solution is mixed with sodium hydroxide, it forms a dark solution with green fluorescence. It has stable properties and is slightly soluble in water.
Uses
Used in Histology:
EOSIN METHYLENE-BLUE is used as a staining agent for the histological examination of blood cells. It is often used in combination with Giemsa stain to provide a clear and detailed visualization of the cellular structures.
Used in Research and Diagnostic Laboratories:

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6359-04-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,3,5 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6359-04:
(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*4)=102
102 % 10 = 2
So 6359-04-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
