63905-13-5 Usage
General Description
N'-(isopropyl)-N,N-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C8H20N2. It is an organic compound that is commonly used as a curing agent in epoxy resin systems. This chemical is known for its ability to crosslink with the epoxy molecules, which helps to increase the strength and durability of the final resin product. It is also used as a hardening agent in some types of polyurethane foam. N'-(isopropyl)-N,N-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine is considered to be a relatively low-toxicity compound, but proper handling and safety precautions should still be observed when working with it.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 63905-13-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,3,9,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 63905-13:
(7*6)+(6*3)+(5*9)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*1)+(1*3)=125
125 % 10 = 5
So 63905-13-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Page 2, (2008/06/13)
Disclosed herein is a process for the reductive alkylation of primary amines to form secondary amines, by high pressure reaction of the primary amine with an alkylating agent and hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst which comprises metallic palladium. A process of the present invention is characterized in having high conversion rates and high selectivities, both greater than 95% on a first pass through the reactor. According to a preferred embodiment, the secondary amine produced comprises at least one 2-alkyl group bonded to the nitrogen atom of the primary amine product.
