Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Acetylsulfur chloride is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of 7-(Desacetothioxy)-7-acetodithioperoxy-spironolactone (D288270), which is an impurity of Spironolactone (S683000). Spironolactone is a synthetic 17-lactone steroid and a renal competitive aldosterone antagonist in a class of pharmaceuticals called potassium-sparing diuretics. It is primarily used to treat ascites in patients with liver disease, low-renin hypertension, hypokalemia, and Conn's syndrome.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6405-82-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,4,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6405-82:
(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*2)=89
89 % 10 = 9
So 6405-82-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
