Sodium 6-[(4-amino-3-bromo-9,10-dihydro-9,10-dioxo-1-anthryl)amino]toluene-3-sulphonate is a complex organic compound with unique properties. It is characterized by its blue color and solubility in various solvents such as ethanol, o-chlorophenol, and pyridine. However, it is insoluble in benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, and other solvents like pottery, toluene, and strong sulfuric acid, where it appears as a dark blue color that deepens to red upon dilution.

It exhibits light fastness rated 5-6, soaping fastness rated 3, and perspiration fastness rated 3 according to ISO standards.
