6442-08-6 Usage

General Description

4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethyl diphenyl cyclohexane, also known as Hardener H, is a chemical compound commonly used as a hardening agent in epoxy resins and adhesive products. This aliphatic diamine is a versatile curing agent that is known for its high performance in enhancing the toughness and chemical resistance of epoxy-based materials. It is also used in the production of coatings, sealants, and other industrial applications. Due to its low viscosity and good curing properties, 4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethyl diphenyl cyclohexane is valued for its ability to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of epoxy formulations, making it an important ingredient in the production of high-quality composite materials and adhesives. Additionally, it is known for its low color and low odor properties, making it suitable for various manufacturing processes.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6442-08-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,4,4 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6442-08:
(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*4)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*8)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 6442-08-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Syntheses of biphenyl polyimides via nickel-catalyzed coupling polymerization of bis(chlorophthalimide)s

Gao, Changlu,Zhang, Suobo,Gao, Lianxun,Ding, Mengxian

, p. 5559 - 5565 (2007/10/03)

A facile method for the synthesis of biphenyl polyamides, which involves the nickel-catalyzed coupling of aromatic dichlorides containing imide structure in the presence of zinc and triphenylphosphine, has been developed. The polymerizations proceeded smoothly under mild conditions and produced biphenyl polyimides with inherent viscosities of 0.13-0.98 dL/g. The polymerizations of bis(4-chlorophthalimide)s with bulky side substituents gave high molecular weight polymers. Low molecular weight polymers from bis(4-chlorophthalimide)s containing rigid diamine moieties and bis(3-chlorophthalimide)s were obtained because of the formations of polymer precipitate and cyclic oligoimides, respectively. The effects of various factors, such as amount of catalyst, solvent volume, ligand, reaction temperature, and time, on the polymerization were studied. The random copolymerization of two bis(chlorophthalimide)s in varying proportions produced medium molecular weight material. The Tgs of prepared polyimides were observed at 245 - 311 °C, and the thermogravimetry of polymers showed 10% weight loss in nitrogen at 470-530 °C.
