GLYCOPROTEIN, ALPHA1-ACID HUMAN, also known as α-1-Acid glycoprotein (AGP) or orosomucoid (ORM), is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 41-43kDa. It is one of the significant acute phase proteins in humans and rats and may belong to the lipocalin family.

Uses

Used in Nonviral Gene Delivery:
GLYCOPROTEIN, ALPHA1-ACID HUMAN is used as a component in the study of nonviral gene delivery to the lung with copolymer-protected and transferrin-modified polyethylenimine.
Used in Surface Adsorption Processes:
In the field of material science, GLYCOPROTEIN, ALPHA1-ACID HUMAN is used as a negatively charged protein to investigate the adsorption processes onto the surface of polyelectrolyte multilayers.
