683-32-9 Usage
General Description
Phosphonic acid, methyl-, butyl methyl ester is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H15O3P. It is commonly used as a surfactant and dispersing agent in various industrial applications, such as in the production of polymers, coatings, and adhesives. Phosphonic acid, methyl-, butyl methyl ester is known for its ability to enhance the wetting, adhesion, and dispersion properties of products, making it a valuable ingredient in many formulations. Additionally, it is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of various organic compounds and can also act as a corrosion inhibitor in metal treatment processes. However, as with any chemical, proper handling and storage are necessary to prevent potential hazards associated with its use.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 683-32-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 6,8 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 683-32:
(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*3)+(2*3)+(1*2)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 683-32-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information; body text, p. 11234 - 11236 (2011/12/05)
A new method to synthesise long-chain and functionalised methylphosphonate esters and the corresponding ionic liquids is reported. The synthesis comprises the formation of dialkyl methylphosphonate esters in a SN2 reaction followed by the use of these esters as alkylating agents to form the corresponding, new alkyl methylphosphonate ILs.
