The kinetics of the chlorophenoxylation of 3-substituted propenes by 2,4-dichlorophenol were investigated.The thermodynamic parameters of the process were determined.It was noted that the entropy of the chlorophenoxylation reaction is independent of the electronic character of the substituents in 3-R-propene.A complex relationships was obtained between the logarithms of the rate constants for the reaction of polyhalogenophenols with 3-chloropropene and their pKa values.
