General Description
3-(ChloroMethyl)isoquinoline hydrochloride is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C11H10ClN?HCl. It is a derivative of isoquinoline that contains a chloromethyl group attached to the carbon located at the third position of the isoquinoline ring. 3-(ChloroMethyl)isoquinoline hydrochloride is usually found in the form of a white to off-white powder and is commonly used as a building block in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical and organic compounds. Its hydrochloride salt form enhances its stability and also makes it more water-soluble, which can be advantageous in certain applications. This chemical has potential utility in medicinal and agrochemical research due to its unique structure and reactivity.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 76884-33-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,6,8,8 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 76884-33:
(7*7)+(6*6)+(5*8)+(4*8)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*3)=178
178 % 10 = 8
So 76884-33-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
