The action of Lewis acids on (1,1,7-trihydrododecafluoroheptyloxy)trifluorosulfurane leads to the formation of (1,1,7-trihydrododecafluoroheptyloxy)difluorosulfonium salts. The thermal stability limit of (1,1,7-trihydrododecafluoroheptyloxy)difluorosulfonium hexafluoroantimonate was established. The direction of the reactions of (1,1,7-trihydrododecafluoroheptyloxy)trifluorosulfurane with carboxylic acids and their derivatives is determined by the reaction temperature. The acid fluorides are formed in the range between -40 and -5 deg C, and 1,1,7-trihydrododecafluoroheptyl esters are formed above 0 deg C.
