Cypress Oil, derived from the steam distillation of terminal branches of Cupressus sempervirens L. (Cupressaceae), is a liquid with a wood-like odor and an ambergris note. The oil, which can range from clear to yellow to brown, is produced in the Mediterranean region, particularly in Spain and France, with a production of around 10 tons per year.
