General Description
2,6-dichlorophenacyl chloride is a chemical compound with the formula C8H5Cl3O. It is a derivative of phenacyl chloride and contains two chlorine atoms at the 2 and 6 positions on the phenyl ring. 2,6-dichlorophenacyl chloride is commonly used in organic synthesis as a reagent for the introduction of the 2,6-dichlorophenyl group into other molecules. It is also used as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. 2,6-dichlorophenacyl chloride is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a strong, pungent odor, and it should be handled with care due to its corrosive and toxic nature.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 81547-71-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,1,5,4 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 81547-71:
(7*8)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*4)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*1)=139
139 % 10 = 9
So 81547-71-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
