9001-13-2 Usage

General Description

Hemocoagulase, also known as batroxobin, is a natural enzyme extracted from the venom of the South American pit viper, Bothrops atrox. It is used as a hemostatic agent to promote blood clotting and control bleeding during surgery, particularly in cardiac and vascular procedures. Hemocoagulase works by converting fibrinogen into fibrin, which forms a stable blood clot to stop bleeding. It is also used in the treatment of chronic and acute bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia and von Willebrand disease. However, hemocoagulase should be used with caution and under the guidance of a healthcare professional, as it can lead to adverse reactions such as allergic responses and anaphylaxis in some individuals.
