Uses
Nucleoside Phosphorylase from microorganisms has been used: in phosphopentomutase assay for adenosine synthesis for the conversion of 7-methylthioguanosine to 7-methylthioguanine in the synthesis of cytokinins in lyophilized cotton plant samples
General Description
Nucleoside Phosphorylase are trimeric and have a molecular mass of about 100 kDa. Each monomer consists of a mixed β-sheet core flanked by eight α-helices and a purine binding in hydrophobic pocket.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Purine nucleoside phosphorylase is an enzyme involved in purine metabolism. PNP metabolizes adenosine into adenine, inosine into hypoxanthine, and guanosine into guanine. Mutations in the PNP gene are responsible for purine nucleoside phosphorylase deficiency.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 9030-21-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,3 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 9030-21:
(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*3)+(3*0)+(2*2)+(1*1)=71
71 % 10 = 1
So 9030-21-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
