Usage

Description

Naphthol AS-BR C.I. 37575 is a brown powder that is insoluble in water but soluble in adjacent nitro toluene. It exhibits a light yellow solution with strong sulfuric acid, turning brown with a green fluorescent hue. In sodium hydroxide solution, it appears as a light yellow-brown color, while it does not dissolve in sodium carbonate solution. With a melting point of 348℃, it remains stable in the air. This product serves as a brown dyeing agent, primarily used for dyeing cotton, PVA, and viscose, and is generally not used for printing.

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
Naphthol AS-BR C.I. 37575 is used as a dyeing agent for cotton, PVA, and viscose fabrics. It provides a red light brown color and is similar to reduction brown BR. The product has a higher affinity for cotton, and the pH of the coupling can be adjusted according to the color base for optimal results.
Used in Dyeing Process:
Naphthol AS-BR C.I. 37575 is used to improve dye uptake and color yield in the dyeing process. By dipping and increasing the temperature, the render color quantity can be enhanced, leading to more vibrant and long-lasting colors on the fabric.
