Chiral "molecular footprint" catalytic cavities were formed on a silica(alumina) gel surface by molecular imprinting with a chiral template, bis(N-benzyloxycarbonyl-L-alanyl)amine.These cavities exhibited stereoselective catalyses in the transacylation of the corresponding substrates: L-, D-, and meso- forms of bis(benzyloxycarbonylalanyl)oxide.
