Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 94641-55-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,4,6,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 94641-55:
(7*9)+(6*4)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*5)+(1*5)=151
151 % 10 = 1
So 94641-55-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Studies on the macrolides from marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp.: structures of amphidinolides R and S and a succinate feeding experiment

Ishibashi, Masami,Takahashi, Miho,Kobayashi, Jun'ichi

, p. 7827 - 7832 (1997)

Two new cytotoxic macrolides, amphidinolides R (1) and S (2), were isolated from the cultured marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp. and their structures including absolute configuration were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data as well as chemical experiments. In a feeding experiment of 13C-labeled succinic acid into a culture of Amphidinium sp., no enrichment of the 13C NMR signal intensity of any carbon of amphidinolide J (3), the most abundant macrolide in this dinoflagellate, was observed.
