SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview:

Warning Statements:

CAUTION! MAY CAUSE IRRITATION.

... Contains: Light Hydrocracked Petroleum Distillate CAS# 64741-77-1.
... Spraying of this material may create aerosols/mists which, if
inhaled, may be irritating to the eyes, nose, throat and lungs.
... May cause mild irritation to the skin with prolonged or repeated
contact.
... Read and understand all Health and Safety information on the
product Label and Material Safety Data Sheet before use.

NPCA-HMIS Hazard Index : o Health: 1
o Flammability: 1
o Reactivity: 0
o Personal Protection: H
(See Section 8)
Potential Health Effects
Routes of Exposure:
Inhalation:
Excessive exposure to mists or vapors generated by heat may cause
irritation to eyes, nose, throat, lungs, and respiratory tract.

Skin and Eye:
Practically non-toxic if absorbed (LD 50 greater than 2,000 mg/kg) may
cause mild irritation with prolonged or repeated contact with skin.
Contact with eye may cause minimal irritation.

Ingestion:
Estimated oral LD 50 in rats is > 15 g/kg. Harmful or fatal if
swallowed. Pulmonary aspiration hazard if swallowed and/or vomiting
occurs - can enter lungs and cause damage.

Carcinogenicity Information :
NTP - NO
IARC - NO
OSHA - NO
ACGIH - NO

SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation
persists, obtain medical assistance.
SKIN: Wash with soap and water until no odor remains. If
redness or swelling develops, obtain medical assistance.
Immediately remove soaked clothing. Wash clothing
before reuse.
INHALATION: Move person to fresh air. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. Obtain medical assistance.
INGESTION: If swallowed, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
The decision to induce vomiting should be made by a physician.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash Point: 250??F
Method Used: Cleveland Open Cup LEL N/A UEL N/A
N.F.P.A. Rating: H-0 F-1 R-0

Extinguishing Media
Water spray, regular foam, dry chemical, Carbon dioxide.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear structural fire
fighters protective clothing.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards
Can be made to burn (flash point greater than 200??F).

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Do not allow material to saturate ground, enter drains, runoffs,
streams, lakes, ground water or drinking water supplies. Observing
all safety precautions, immediately absorb all spills with a dry
inert material, such as sand, and dispose. Report all spills into
or with the potential to reach navigable (surface) waters of the
United States or adjoining shorelines, as soon as there is knowledge
of the spill, to the National Response Center (800) 424-8802.

SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE INFORMATION

Precautionary Measures :

... Avoid prolonged breathing.
... Avoid ingestion. Pulmonary aspiration hazard if swallowed and/or
vomiting occurs - can enter lungs and cause damage.
... Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
... Do not create aerosols in the presence of ignition sources.
... Use only in well ventilated areas.
... If sprayed, wear respiratory protection.
... Wash thoroughly after handling.
... FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY. KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN'S REACH.

SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Ventilation:
Use only in areas with adequate ventilation to maintain exposure
below governmental limits. (See Section 2.)

Respiratory Protection :
Concentration-in-air determines protection needed. Use only NIOSH-approved
respiratory protection. Respiratory protection usually not needed unless
product is heated or misted. Half-mask, air-purifying respirator with
dust/mist filters or HEPA filter cartridges is acceptable to 10 times the
exposure limit. Full-face air purifying respirator with dust/mist filters
or HEPA filter cartridges is acceptable to 50 times the exposure limit.
Protection by air purifying respirators is limited. Use a positive
pressure-demand, full-face supplied air respirator or SCBA for exposures
above 50 times the exposure limit.

Skin Protection:
Protective gloves recommended when prolonged skin contact cannot be
avoided. The following glove materials are acceptable: Polyethylene,
polyvinyl chloride (PVC), neoprene, nitrile, polyvinyl alcohol and viton.

Eye Protection:
Splash-proof chemical goggles or full-face shield recommended to
protect against splash of product.

Other Protective Clothing or Equipment :
If contact is unavoidable, wear chemical resistant clothing. The
following materials are acceptable as protective clothing materials:
polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), neoprene, nitrile,
viton and polyurethane.

Work/Hygienic Practices :

Safety shower and eye wash availability recommended. Launder soiled
clothes. For non-fire emergencies, respiratory protection may be
necessary and wear appropriate protective clothing to avoid contact.
