Densities, speeds of sound and refractive indices for the binary mixture of dibutyl ether and 1-chlorobutane have been determined at atmospheric pressure and at the temperature range from 283.15 K to 313.15 K. Excess volumes, excess isentropic compressibilities and refractive index deviations have been calculated from the experimental data and fitted by the Redlich–Kister equation. Excess volumes and isentropic compressibilities are negative over the whole composition range while refractive index deviations are positive.
