MACROCYCLIC PEPTIDOMIMETICS FOR ALPHA-HELIX MIMICRY
Methods and compositions are provided for generating macrocyclic peptides constrained by side-chain-to-C-terminus non-peptidic tethers for use as functional and structural mimics of α-helical motifs, including in therapeutic applications. These methods can be used to produce libraries of conformationally constrained peptidomimetics to identify compounds with desired activity properties.

Synthesis and catalytic activity of amino acids and metallopeptides with catalytically active metallocyclic side chains
Two approaches to prepare amino acids with catalytically active organometallic side chains are presented. These methods are notable in that they provide access either free or N-protected compounds that are structurally analogous to naturally occurring ami

Diverse organo-peptide macrocycles via a fast and catalyst-free oxime/intein-mediated dual ligation
Macrocyclic Organo-Peptide Hybrids (MOrPHs) can be prepared from genetically encoded polypeptides via a chemoselective and catalyst-free reaction between a trifunctional oxyamino/amino-thiol synthetic precursor and an intein-fusion protein incorporating a bioorthogonal keto group.

Microwave-assisted synthesis of unnatural amino acids
Microwave irradiation has been proven to be a useful tool in the rapid assembly of racemic unnatural amino acids in only two steps. Additional benefits of this methodology are the commercial availability of the inexpensive starting materials and the high yields and high purities of the final amino acid products.

Protein arrays
The invention provides proteins attached to solid supports, and methods of preparing such solid support-bound proteins are provided. The proteins are attached to solid supports by means of an unnatural amino acid incorporated into the protein, which unnat
