Uses of Diisopropyldichlorosilane: It can react with Lithium-di-tert-butyl(hydroxy)silanolat to produce 1,1-Di-tert-butyl-3-chlor-1-hydroxy-3,3-diisopropyldisiloxan. This reaction will need reagent hexane and tetrahydrofuran. The reaction time is 2 hours with heating, and the yield is about 52%.
