This chemical is called Dirubidium oxide, and its CAS registry number is 18088-11-4. With the molecular formula of ORb2, its molecular weight is 186.93. Additionally, its product category isInorganics.
Other characteristics of the Dirubidium oxide can be summarised as followings: (1)#H bond acceptors: 1; (2) #H bond donors: 0; (3)#Freely Rotating Bonds: 2.
Production method of this chemical: Firstly, take the reaction of rubidium and inadequate oxygen in the high-silica glass containers and take out the excess rubidium later. Secondly, metal rubidium reacts with excessive mercuric oxide. Keep this reaction for 12 hours at 200 °C, with the condition of tempering. Finally, steam to remove generate mercury in high vacuum, temperature 200 °C. You will get ORb2.
