The 3a, 3d,3h, and 3k compounds' antibacterial behavior
towards four pathogenic bacteria (Gram‐positive bacteria:
S aureus and Bacillus cereus and two Gram‐negative:
Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) were eval-
uated using the disc diffusion technique with 100 μL of
suspension possessing 106 CFU/mL bacteria, dispersed
on Muller‐Hinton agar (MHA) medium. Sterile paper
discs of 6 mm diameter were then saturated using various
compound concentrations (6.25, 12.5, 25, and 50 mg/mL)
and put onto a Muller‐Hinton agar. These plates were
placed into incubation for 18 to 24 hours at a temperature
of 37°C. Upon the completion of this period, the clear
zone diameter at the disk vicinity was measured and pre-
sented in terms of millimeters as relevant antibacterial
behavior. Every test was run three times, and the
resulting data were expressed as mean standard devia-
tion (SD).
