Uses of Trisiloxane,1,5-dichloro-1,1,3,3,5,5-hexamethyl-: It can react with butyllithium to produce 1,5-Dibutylhexamethyltrisiloxan. This reaction will need the menstruum diethyl ether. The reaction time is 2.5 hours with temperature of -78°C, and the yield is about 100%.
