130000-78-1 Usage

General Description

(4-Methoxy-3,5-dimethylpyridin-2-yl)methanamine, also known as Mirodenafil, is a chemical compound with potential pharmaceutical applications. It belongs to the class of pyridine derivatives and is structurally related to sildenafil, a well-known erectile dysfunction drug. Mirodenafil has been studied for its potential use as a treatment for erectile dysfunction and other sexual performance issues. It is believed to work by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5), which increases blood flow to the penis and helps to achieve and maintain an erection. Additionally, Mirodenafil has shown potential for use as a vasodilator and may have applications in treating other cardiovascular conditions. Further research and clinical trials are needed to determine its safety and efficacy for these uses.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 130000-78-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,0,0,0 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 130000-78:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*0)+(5*0)+(4*0)+(3*0)+(2*7)+(1*8)=51
51 % 10 = 1
So 130000-78-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Origins of selectivity in a colorimetric charge-transfer sensor for diols

Rasberry, Roger D.,Smith, Mark D.,Shimizu, Ken D.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 2889 - 2892 (2009/05/11)

(Chemical Equation Presented) Bispyridyl hydrogen bonding receptor 1 forms colored charge transfer (CT) complexes with complementary phenols and naphthols. Despite its low association constants of ~101 M-1, receptor 1 was highly selective forming CT complexes of varying color and intensity with different diol guests. The selectivity of 1 was correlated with the ability of its CT band to simultaneously yield information about the association constant and the electronic structure of the phenols and naphthols.

3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxypyridine derivatives

-

, (2008/06/13)

A process for the preparation of compounds of formula I STR1 in which X is the radical OH or Cl, by the catalytic hydrogenation of 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy-2-cyanopyridine, subsequent reaction of the resulting 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy-2-aminomethylpyridine to give 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy-2-hydroxymethylpyridine and, if desired, chlorination to give 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy-2-chloromethylpyridine, and the novel intermediate 3,5-dimethyl-4-methoxy-2-aminomethylpyridine.
